From the day of their second birthday your child can begin their voyage of fun and discovery at Highland Fling.
Our ethos
We are committed to make each and every one of our children's days as happy, fun and enriching as possible. Learning through play, interacting with new friends and being out lots in the fresh air makes for a very happy childhood.
We work in accordance with the Curriculum For Excellence and the Pre Birth to Three document and all our learning is “Child at the Centre” based. Our staff consists of a team who have extensive experience in a number of educational philosophies including Froebel, Reggio Emilio and Forest Schools.

SESSIONS
Please note we require a minimum of 3 core sessions a week to guarantee a space for your child
EARLY BIRDS
8am - 9am
Our Early Birds sessions start from 8am. The team offer a quiet and relaxed start to the day should families require this.
CORE SESSION
9am - 3pm
Children can enjoy lots of outdoor time and will be given the freedom to learn through play. Each child has their own Learning Journal which parents/ carers can easily access via the "Resources" menu.
As we are a Partnership Nursery Highland Fling offers each child up to 1140 hours of funded childcare over the year. Funding starts from the term after your child turns 3.
HAPPY HAGGIS
3pm - 5pm/6pm
For the children who are attending a full day it’s important to change things up a bit. The
Happy Haggis Club allows the children to take part in lots more fun activities and to mix with their friends.
The key workers are still on hand of course to help in choosing what to do next.
